Send your missed calls to your receptionist

You keep your number. Calls you answer stay with you; only the ones you miss go to your receptionist. Takes two minutes.

Before you start

We send you your receptionist’s number. In the codes below, replace 1XXXXXXXXXX with it: 1, then the area code and number, no spaces or dashes.

Cell phone on AT&T, T-Mobile, Cricket, Metro or Mint

Open the phone app, dial each code and press call. You’ll see a confirmation on screen.

  • When you don’t answer: **61*1XXXXXXXXXX**20# (rings you for 20 seconds first; use 5 to 30)
  • When you’re on another call: **67*1XXXXXXXXXX#
  • When your phone is off or has no signal: **62*1XXXXXXXXXX#
  • To turn all of it off: ##004#

Cell phone on Verizon

  • When you don’t answer or are busy: dial *71 followed by the 10-digit number, then call.
  • To turn it off: dial *73.

Office line or business phone app

RingCentral, Grasshopper, Vonage, Ooma, Spectrum and most others: in the admin app, find “call forwarding” or “unanswered calls” and send unanswered calls to your receptionist number instead of voicemail. Tell us which one you use and we’ll walk you through it on a call.

Don’t use the iPhone or Android forwarding switch

The “Call Forwarding” switch in your phone’s settings sends every call away, including the ones you would have answered. Use the codes above instead.

Test it

  1. From another phone, call your business number.
  2. Don’t answer.
  3. Your receptionist picks up after the rings. Book a test appointment; you’ll get the email.

If a code doesn’t work, call your carrier and ask them to turn on “conditional call forwarding” to your receptionist number.

Unlock the live demo.

The demo makes real calls, so it's open to business owners we've invited: 6 calls and 6 chats over 7 days. Enter your details and the code from our message.
